Have you noticed an increase in earthquakes latley?

At age 51, I cant remember a time when there has been so many earthquakes so close to each other. I find it interesting that 3 years ago everyone was predicting all kinds of problems in and around 2012, and that now everyone is bashing those that think bad things will happen.
